H-H Angus

H-H Angus is a family-owned Angus seedstock farm, in operation for over thirty years. They came to us wanting a simple yet professional website. Because we grew up with a network of livestock and cattle producers, we’ve been building websites for Angus breeders since 1999. H-H Angus saw our name on other sites in that network and reached out.

Specific Website Needs

H-H Angus wanted to build a farm website with multiple information pages to feature their herd of Angus cattle in Michigan. This would be their first online presence, and their aim was to set themselves up for success by providing a way for people to find their services when searching the internet. They also wanted to share their farm name and website when consigning sales.

What we did

VanDenBerg Web + Creative built a very simple 5-page farm website for H-H Angus.

On the Herd page, we highlight their herd and breeding goals, and specifically feature their main donor cow. We will update this as necessary.

Sires are featured on another page to address the demand in the livestock industry for particular pedigrees and breeding lines.

On the ‘For Sale’ page, H-H posts cattle they have for sale, consignment sales, bull test sales, or available private treaty off the farm. For example, they’re currently selling embryos from the donor cow, and have a layout ready to go when bulls and heifers become available for sale. They also include some previous transactions, providing a catalog of consignment sales to live auction.

Their Freezer Beef page covers the quality local beef they sell from cattle not used in premium breeding. With the current movement to buy locally raised beef over grocery store meat, it is especially important to feature freezer beef when it is available throughout the year. They’ve also included an image depicting retail beef cuts and the various quantities for sale.

We’ve also provided them with a straightforward contact form, and easy ways to add images or videos in the future.

H-H Angus now has a simple, professional website that legitimizes their business by allowing searching visitors to find them, learn what they offer, and how to contact them. It’s also an easily adaptable site, ready to grow with them, if needed.
